Regular readers to the blog will have noticed in the last couple of weeks that we have launched Simply Learning which is our online training course for all things Facebook. We came up with the idea based on our offline training courses and thought it would be a super tool for people to learn all about the world’s biggest social network from the comfort of their office or home. The site features over 100 instructional videos and text tutorials and aims to answer all those common questions that people have about Facebook. There is a super introductory offer which all blog readers can avail of this week by signing up here.
Constantly Updating
We found when we were giving our courses that the platform was constantly evolving and the one biggest problem people had was keeping up with all the new features. Rather than attending a course where the information could be obsolete within a couple of months we wanted to provide something that we could keep up to date and release new tutorials as soon as new features were released.
Constant Support
Even though we’ve made every effort to cover everything you need to know about Facebook we realize that there are times when you get stuck and want to ask somebody. Members are able to ask us questions that will always be answered by one of the team here within 12 hours. This level of support is invaluable to businesses and individuals seeking to use the Facebook platform and taking their first steps.
HD Video Tutorials
All of our videos are shot in full HD and help walk you through the various features on Facebook. We use screen cast technology so as you can follow along step by step as you learn.
Amazing Introductory Offer
We wanted to make the site affordable and a fraction of the cost of normal training courses. There are hours of HD footage, people there constantly to answer your questions and all the latest features explained for just €99 a year. This offer will only be available for a limited time.
Should you get SEO Training and run your own Search Engine Optimisation campaigns or should you look at outsourcing?
Investing in SEO training and internet marketing is no longer an option - it’s a necessity. Search engine optimisation or SEO is the first step taken by many businesses to make sure their website is visible on Google and the other search engines. Once you’ve decided to undertake SEO as part of your marketing activities, you have to consider how you will implement this within your organisation. Your first decision then will be whether to outsource your SEO to an external agency or to invest in SEO training.
There are a few points to consider when making the choice to opt for SEO training or outsourcing. Businesses are often unsure of what to expect from a search engine optimisation campaign which makes it harder to come to a sound decision. The more successful SEO requires time; most SEO companies require a minimum program of six months. However, if you and in a competitive sector, this timescale could rise to 12-18 months. Good SEO requires time and resources.
Websites that are at the top of Google for their chosen keywords & search phrases are not there by accident. They have made a concerted effort to get to where they are. And, to ensure that they at the top, they will continue with their SEO maintenance.
Outsourcing Search Engine Optimisation services also has its disadvantages; firstly an external company might lack understanding of your business - its products and services. No matter how talented the SEO company is, they are simply not going to understand your business as well as someone who works there every day.
It stands to reason that an external SEO company who is working with many clients is going to be less committed to you and your business. SEO firms are likely to have many clients. Losing one client is not great, but it isn’t a catastrophe either.
The best solution to the issues mentioned is to invest in SEO training for your business. Once you have that internal expertise, the knowledge is retained by the company, unlike employing a consultant who will disappear once you have stopped paying them. When they disappear, a lot of the knowledge gained around a search marketing campaign goes with them too.
When you or your staff complete an SEO training course you will have complete control over the strategies being used. Along with this you will be able to make any changes to your website almost immediately, whenever you want. You will also know all about the inner workings of your website which is something that can be quite beneficial. You will learn a lot about the way that the search engines function which can provide huge benefits over a period of time.
Business owners and their employees are more familiar with how business operates. Therefore decisions can be made and tasks completed with your business, product, industry and circumstances in mind. Communication can be easier. Since SEO is done in-house, any time you need a report, analysis or feedback, it will be available instantly.
Attending an SEO training course and managing SEO in-house could save you money in the long term. That’s because you are investing on your own resources. Provided you stay up-to-date with SEO trends, you save costs of hiring a specialty agency and avoid the risks of outsourcing your campaigns to an unreliable firm.
One of the best SEO Training recsources that you will find on the internet is a site called SEOBook.com, developed by Aaron Wall. Here is a short video produced by Aaron

“Ian Dodson of WebKitchen is someone I've been working closely with for the past few years. Ian first impressed me, not just with his expert knowledge of his space but with his sound business insights..."
